It's almost Halloween and while the kids will be excited about trick or treating, it's up to parents and motorists to take special care of the little ghosts and goblins in costume to keep them safe while walking along the streets.
"They're not thinking about the cars coming, they're thinking about their candy." said Fritzi Schreffler of PennDOT.
But drivers will also need to pay attention to their speed and to the road.
"Make sure you're going slowly because these kids will be running around back and forth across the street," Schreffler advised. "Whether you tell them to or not, some kids are going to do that and this is not the time you want to hit a kid."
The roads could get scary for trick or treaters, especially for parents who follow their children in cars.
"They're watching their children, they're not watching what's going on in front of them,” Schreffler said.
