Harrisburg City Police are investigating two weekend shootings that appear to be connected to one neighborhood bar.
About 1:30 Saturday morning, a Harrisburg Police officer on patrol heard about 15 gunshots near the DD’s Bar on South 19th Street. He saw people running around yelling.
Cars stopped and were abandoned in the street and a wounded man was spotted limping away from the scene.
The victim said he was approached by two men with guns who tried to rob him of his jewelry and then shot him. About 20 minutes later another wounded man was found in the 400 block of South 14th Street.
He would only tell police he was at DD’s Bar when shooting erupted.
Mayor Linda Thompson says the bar is being investigated as a nuisance bar.
"They're on the list for us to look into,” Thompson warned.
One reason police do not have many details is because none of the victims or witnesses were very cooperative. Therefore, the investigation has been moving slowly.
