The parents of Andrew Moyer Jr., Andrew Moyer Sr. and Brianna Michael, have been charged with criminal homicide in their young son's death.
The couple was taken into custody by police and the Lancaster County Special Emergency Response Team Wednesday evening in Stevens.
The couple faces charges of criminal homicide and four counts of endangering the welfare of children.
Their preliminary hearing will be held on November 2 and a press conference will be held Thursday morning at 11 a.m.

A six-week-old boy who was found dead in his parents’ Columbia apartment Friday has been ruled a homicide and the neighborhood is remembering his short life.
Charges have not yet been filed because it’s not known exactly what lead to the child being killed. But police are working on it.
Emergency crews were called to an apartment on the 100 block of Locust Street in Columbia and when they got there six-week-old Andrew Moyer Jr. was already dead. You can see the small memorial that was built in his honor on the front step of the apartment building.
His parents, Andrew Moyer Sr. and Brianna Michael, were the only ones home at the time according to the DA. The Lancaster County Coroner ruled the death was the result of multiple traumatic injuries.
“These stories happen every day in the news. Every single day. This is so mundane now,” commented a neighbor, Lawrence. “I’m getting pretty numb to this. It’s your own child. How do you kill your own child? How do you beat your own kid to death?”

On Thursday morning, Columbia Police were called to a medical emergency on Locust Street.
When they arrived at the home of Andrew Moyer Senior and Brianna Michael, they found a deceased infant, Andrew Moyer Jr.
An investigation and autopsy by the Coroner’s Office determined the manner of death was homicide caused by multiple traumatic injuries.
The investigation at this point is ongoing by the Columbia Borough Police Department and the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.
At this point, police do not believe this was a random act of violence.
