Kathleen Kane, the Democratic Candidate for State Attorney General, was in Lancaster County today to kick off her 12-day state-wide tour leading up to the election.
Kane spoke with supporters at the Central Market right off Penn Square in the city. The prosecutor from Lackawanna County, who is running against Cumberland County District Attorney David Freed, said that the number one question she gets from the public on the campaign trail has to do with Jerry Sandusky . She said people have a lot of questions about how the investigation was done and why it took so long. And as AG she will get answers.
“I specialized in child sexual assault prosecutions and there are three things I don’t understand: Why the grand jury was used? I never used a grand jury; number two, why such a small amount of investigators on the case; and number three, why weren’t they specially trained in child sexual assault? Those are the questions we need answers and I will find the truth.” Kane said.
Election day is November 6.
