Last Friday at about 9:00 p.m. the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to the Dollar General located at 1500 North George Street in Manchester Township for a report of a robbery.
Initial investigation found that at approximately 2050 hours a black male wearing sunglasses, gloves, a black hat, black sweatshirt, and black pants entered the Dollar General. The subject loitered in the store until other customers left. The male then went to the front door and locked it. The male showed the two employees a silver gun he had in his waistband. The male then ordered a male employee to the rear of the store. The male employees hands were tied behind his back and he was then secured in a bathroom. The robber then forced the female employee to the front of the store and made her empty the cash registers.
The subject then tied the female employee’s hands together and also placed her in the bathroom.
The robber then fled the building with an undetermined amount of cash. The employees were able to free themselves and called 911.
Neither employee was injured.
