In the dark of the overnight crews rescued a driver stranded in the flood waters near the Springettsbury Township Wastewater Treatment Facility. As the sun came up the water went down, but not enough to free his car.

York County 9-1-1 received more than 220 calls for problems on the road from the start of the storm thru this morning.
North George Street needed to be pumped out and Loucks Mill Road closed near the Codorus Creek/Route 30 overpass.

Traffic signals on side roads lost power for periods of time, but even those road closures won’t leave significant damage behind and the important thing is no one in the county was critically injured during superstorm Sandy.
