Several families living along Mill and Hazle Streets found themselves seeking higher ground just after midnight.

While the wind whipped and howled throughout the night the rain and rising waters caused problems for many throughout Lancaster County. Just after midnight firefighters were called to help rescue a family from rising flood water in the Mill and Hazel Street section of Manheim

When the Chickies Creek overflowed its banks and several hours later a driver in West Earl found out the bridge on 772 South State Street was not passable as the Conastoga River overflowed into the streets and local park

And the Cocalico Creek also made it known it was not a force to be reckoned with, ...
rushing water around Newport Rhode quickly made routes impossible. By 10 a.m. the water filled street were draining and residents were outside cleaning up and assessing the damage

Manheim resident Kurt Funk:
“Wasn’t as bad as I was expecting as far as water in the basement and tree limbs down - none of that happened fortunately.”
