Giant Food Stores Thursday announced in a press release that the doors to their new Beer Garden and Eatery have opened in its Linglestown Road Super Food Store located on 2300 Linglestown Road in Harrisburg.

Recently the chain was granted a restaurant liquor license from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB).

The new Beer Garden and Eatery seats seventy-five and will be open Monday - Saturday 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Sundays 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Giant remodeled the Linglestown Road store to include the new Beer Garden and Eatery, offering the grocer’s largest selection of domestic and imports in the Commonwealth with an emphasis on craft and specialty beers. Customers will find a “mix-a-six” option where they can create their own six packs with a variety of craft beers.

A wide variety of eat-in and take-out selections will also be offered including:
-Hot and cold sandwiches, wraps, subs and panini’s
-Rotisserie and fried chicken
-Made to order salads, a salad bar and soups
-Hot pizza
-Chinese food
-Sushi selections
-Baked goods and desserts
-Beverages and coffee

Giant is enforcing a 100% proof-of-age policy. Cashiers will ask for proper identification – a valid driver’s license, passport or military identification card – from any customer wanting to purchase alcohol, regardless of age.

This location marks the seventh Giant/Martin's store to sell beer in Pennsylvania.
