A New Jersey woman wanted for the homicide of her mother was arrested at Lancaster General Hospital Thursday.
The woman, Regina Anne Wallace, 33, of Ewing, New Jersey told staff at LGH she was involved in a homicide in Ewing.
The staff contacted Lancaster police officers and also police in Ewing Township, NJ. Ewing Township Police told Lancaster City Police they did have a warrant out for Wallace's arrest.
Wallace was charged with Criminal Homicide and is currently being held in Lancaster County prison with $1 million in bail.
According to a press release from Ewing Township Police, Officers arrived to the home of Sharon Wallace, 53, to check on her welfare. After no answer, the officers used forced entry to get into the home where they found Wallace had been murdered.
A pick axe was found at the scene and Regina Wallace, Sharon's daughter was charged with the murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
