Tuesday afternoon, a man walked into a police station in Cumberland County claiming he was stabbed.
Shippensburg police are still investigating and say they have one person in custody.
The stabbing happened around 12:30 Tuesday near Fort and High Street in Shippensburg.
Police confirm the alleged victim walked into the station and told police he was stabbed. Shippensburg Police Chief Fred Scott said they took one person into custody following the stabbing.
And while he did not want to comment on what was happening and who was involved he did say as of now it appears the incident is an isolated incident and the individuals involved appear to have known each other.
Cheif Scott also said there really is no threat to the community, however residents and students should always be on alert. "Watch around for each other, be aware of what is around you and look for unusual things, like this guy was just standing there and things, things happen. So be aware of what's around you."
While this stabbing did not happen on campus, we are told Shippensburg University did send out an alert to all of the students as a precaution.
