Jason D. Pressel, 32, of the 200 block of South Baltimore Street in Dillsburg was arrested by Upper Allen Police for metal theft.
Police were dispatched to a construction site on South Market Street at US Route 15 for suspicious activity.
Pressel was parked along the side of the road and was observed loading metal into his truck. He left the scene, but the truck was spotted a short time later at a nearby business.
An investigation determined that Pressel had stolen a metal pip from the site and various other pieces of metal from other dumpsters in the area.
He was arrested at the scene and taken to Cumberland County Prison for processing. He is charged with theft by unlawful taking.
A preliminary hearing will be scheduled for a later date.
