Police in Adams County were called to an accident Monday morning after a person that had been drinking drove off the road and into a utility pole.

Not only was the person not of the legal drinking age, but they weren't even old enough to drive.

This accident was not an ordinary accident. The person operating the vehicle was not only driving under the influence, but was only 13-years-old.

Cumberland Township Police responded to a car accident with entrapment on the 100 block of Solomon Road just after 1 a.m. on Monday.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found a 2002 Honda Accord crashed into a utility pole.

Police found the driver was only 13 years old, while the passenger was a 14 year old boy.

The 13-year-old had been drinking and lost control of the car before sliding off the roadway.

The driver was not injured in the crash, but the 14-year-old passenger had to be cut out of the vehicle and was flown to York Hospital for his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence.

Cumberland Township Police say that the crash is still currently under investigation.
