Helping children who have been sexually abused. That is the goal of 300 people who will gather at the Adams County Children's Advocacy Center's annual Snowflake Gala.
CBS 21’s Ewa Roman will emcee the fundraiser.
The Snowflake Gala is taking place at the Wyndham Hotel, right by the Gateway Theater off Route 15.
There will be an auction, some raffles and of course a lot of fun for a good cause.
Wyndham Hotel workers were busy Friday afternoon, setting the stage for the Adams County Children's Advocacy Center's biggest fundraiser of the year, the Snowflake Gala.
This is the seventh year for the event, which raises money for the center. Since it opened in 2006, the center has helped 600 children who have been victims of sex abuse.
"We are very excited to host the Snowflake Gala this year, this is our largest fundraiser of the year and we get tremendous community support,” explained Tracy Hawkins, Chairperson for the Snowflake Gala. “We're always so excited to come out and support the center and see everybody in their finest."
The event it sold out.
Last year they raised $75,000 and they hope to raise $85,000 this year.
