Edward Wright III, 31, of the 200 Block of N. Main Street in Shrewsbury is being charged after he got into a fight at a Rutter's after a celebration at a bar.
Wright and a 30-year-old friend, both military veterans, were out celebrating the Marine Corp. birthday at a local bar. After they left the bar, the two got into a fight around 2:30 a.m. in a car in the New Freedom Rutters parking lot on November 11.
According to the victim and a witness, Wright pulled a knife on the victim and threatened to stab him in the neck.
The victim exited the car and Wright followed him with a knife in one hand and an expandable baton in the other.
Wright struck the victim with the baton multiple times and fled the scene. He was arrested at his home and taken to central booking with $5000 bail.
Wright faces Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and harassment.
