On August 31, 2012 the Upper Allen Police investigated a report of bad checks from a local food distributor. The investigation revealed that two checks had been issued in the total amount of $3,409.45 at the L’Koste Villa restaurant in Upper Allen Township.
The checks were then returned by the bank due to insufficient funds. When the defendants failed make repayment after the legal requirements of notification were completed, the victim reported the crime to the Upper Allen Police.
Larry Kostelac, 30, of Mechanicsburg and Lynn Fromm, 49, of Dillsburg, who are business co-owners, were arrested by summons.
A preliminary hearing was held before Magisterial District Judge Brenda Knepper on Monday.
Both defendants waived the preliminary hearing and the case was bound over to the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas.
