Mechanicsburg Police are looking for the man who Thursday night robbed a local store, threatening the cashier with a crow bar and handgun. The suspect got away with a handful of cash.
The robbery occurred at the ‘Hemps Above’ Store on the second floor of 105 North Arch Street. The clerk and a friend were alone when the intruder burst in.
“Around 7:30 Thursday night, a guy walked in,” explained cashier Matt Good. “I was sitting at the cash register. He pulled a gun out of his breast pocket and then a crow bar out of his sleeve. He looked at me and he said you can do this two ways. You can either give me the money or I can beat and shoot you and take the money.”
Good chose to hand over the money, showing the robber the cash register was empty.
Police are looking for a white, 5 foot-11, with a slender build and blue eyes. The suspect was wearing a dark purple ski mask. The revolver was described as older looking with a wooden handle.
