The Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women, Inc. honored one outstanding elected Democratic woman from each of the Federation’s 18 Districts at the Annual Outstanding Elected Democratic Women’s Brunch that was held on Sunday, November 18 at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg. Mayor C. Kim Bracey was selected as this year’s Outstanding Elected Democratic Woman from District Seven, which includes Adams, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York Counties.
Mayor Bracey was recognized for her significant contributions as an elected official to the community and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as well as her support of the Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women, and local Democratic Party and Clubs.
Mayor Bracey’s support and encouragement of other Democratic women seeking elective office was also acknowledged during the event. “I am honored to be one of the 18 women from across Pennsylvania that the Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Woman has decided to recognize with this award.” said Mayor Bracey.
The Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women, Inc. was founded in 1927 to promote the appointment and election of Democratic women to responsible positions within all branches of government, to encourage the advancement of women in both the public and private sectors, and to advocate the principles of the Democratic Party. Today the Federation claims more than 2,000 members in local affiliates throughout the counties of the Commonwealth
