PennDOT District 8 today announced scheduled bridge inspections Nov. 27-30 on U.S. Route 322 East and Dec. 2 on Interstate 83 North within the Eisenhower Interchange east of Harrisburg in Swatara Township, Dauphin County.
PennDOT advises travelers that Nov. 27-30 they will encounter lane restrictions within the Eisenhower Interchange approaching U.S. Route 322 East between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. as crews inspect the bridge.
On Dec. 2 at 7 a.m., crews will close the I-83 North bridge for inspection and maintenance work. While the bridge is closed, a detour will direct motorists to U.S. Route 322 East, to PenHar Drive, to Paxton Street, to U.S. Route 322 West back to I-83 North.
Respectively, U.S. Route 322 East and I-83 North within the Eisenhower Interchange average 20,300 and 35,100 vehicles traveled daily.
