Police in North Middleton Township investigating burglary spree

The North Middleton Township Police Department is investigating a spree of night-time burglaries that have occurred in the Southwest corner of the township between November 19th and November 21st.

Two of the night time burglaries were at unoccupied businesses which the suspect(s) gained entry by force. Nothing was taken however; it is believed that the suspect(s) were searching for money or other valuables.

The first burglary occurred on November 19th.  It happened in the 900 Block of Waggoners Gap Road. The second was on November 21st in the 900 Block of Newville Road.

A third burglary also occurred in the early morning hours on November 21st. The suspects broke into an occupied residence in the 900 Block of West Louther Street, Carlisle. One of the residents woke up when they heard the suspects ransacking the house. The homeowner interrupted the burglary and the suspects fled the house when the residents verbally challenged them.

One of the suspects was described as being tall with a thin build. They stole an undisclosed amount of money during the residential burglary.

Carlisle Borough Police assisted the North Middleton Township with a K9 track however; there were negative results.

Additionally, residents are asked to remain vigilant and urged to secure their vehicles and homes. Exterior lights are also vital for deterring criminal activity
