Dozens of volunteers are rolling up their sleeves at the Bethesda Mission to make sure people in need have a happy Thanksgiving.
They start serving Thanksgiving dinner at 4:30 Thursday and will continue until 5:30.
The traditional turkey, potatoes, peas and more are being served to those in need at the Bethesda mission in Harrisburg. Dinner is free and includes dessert. Most of the food is donated. There are about 50 volunteers giving up their Thanksgiving at home to come and serve the meals to about 150 people at the mission.
"It's a good feeling," says Volunteer Coordinator Debbie King, "to know that we can help the people and help someone to have a better holiday than they might have had by themselves and that we can provide all of this. It's just wonderful, that the community gets behind us and helps us to do that."
