It's a Thanksgiving tradition which keeps your wallet from getting slim - Black Friday. This year, stores started opening doors even earlier than ever and that means more people are camping out longer.
Shoppers say some stores, like Sears, already sold out of their Black Friday door buster deals, so they came to Best Buy.
It's not a tailgate. They're not waiting for concert tickets. All of these people are out waiting for door busting deals. Determined, some have been at the Best Buy store in Lower Paxton Township since last night.
Shopper John Glindeman says, "The general manager came out and talked to us last night, was very clear exactly how this will work. We're all going to be real nice to each other, we're going to make sure no one cuts in line and everybody will be happy at the end of the day."
John's been waiting for a very interesting item. "Probably the strangest thing I'm looking for," he says, "is the Sonicare toothbrush, believe it or not."
Others are here for bigger stuff, like Patrick Conlon. "It's the really good deals," he says about why he waits. "$1,300 off the fridge, you know?"
Most shoppers already know what they want. Kaize Zouaoui is looking for, "Probably the tablet, Galaxy, or Kindle Fire HD."
These Black Friday shoppers at the front of the line say because they've been here so long, people are driving by, shaking their heads. Feeling like they're on display at the zoo, they decided to have a little fun with it by hanging up homemade signs with phrases like "Notice: Will Bite." Afterall, they've already bitten into their turkey dinner and now hope to take a bigger chunk out of Black Friday.
They wait and wait for doors to open at midnight for TVs, phones and tablets, but will they get them? People toward the end of the line aren't so hopeful but they're willing to stick it out, like Jasmin Brown, who says, "I hope I get by TV, I'm not sure I'm praying that I do."
