Black Friday is usually known for people getting real close, even fighting to snag the best deals.
After crowds swarmed the Colonial Park Mall at its midnight opening, hundreds of shoppers still shopping in the morning seemed calm.
Shopper Staci Sorber, was okay without crowds when she went this morning. "its not nearly as crowded, we didn't have to wait in line anywhere."
There weren't any stampedes of people rushing into stores, like the Victoria's Secret store in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hundreds rushed into a Victoria's Secret store there as soon as the gate was up.
April Metzger said she likes to shop in peace. She doesn't like the crowds so she waited to do her shopping. "I don't get into all that, so i was waiting until the groups clear and wait to get what i need."
Hundreds on a mission were searching for the best deals on clothes and gifts for the Holidays. Some shoppers like Jen Hostler, were shopping until they were dropping. "We've made two trips already out to the car today."
Some were out just keeping their family members, who were shopping, company. Dylan Diebler was doing just that, he came to keep his mom company. "I kinda woke up and was getting ready so i thought i'd keep her company."
Other shoppers, like Dustin, came to keep his wife company. He says his wife drug him with to the mall, "Happy wife, happy life."
The crowds at Bath and Body Works were ready to scoop up those sales. Sara Wakefield works at Bath and Body Works, she says they were ready way before they were open. "They were like we want to come in, but I said, we can't. We're not open yet."
But at midnight, she says when the doors opened, they all came flooding in. "I open the door, and whoosh. "We had really good sales for the first half and its really steady ever since."
