A just-unsealed transcript of a hearing between two judges and the attorneys involved with the Jerry Sandsuky case reveals there was a lot of evidence against Sandusky that was never brought to light during his trial.
Prosecutors say there was a great deal of highly incriminating evidence they did not use. The transcript was part of a hearing about how secret materials were leaked to the media.
The transcript of the hearing was unsealed Wednesday morning. Prosecutors had requested the hearing to ask for a protective order over evidence that was not presented during trial.
They describe that evidence as highly incriminating against Sandusky. Much of it centers around the leak to the media involving Matt Sandusky, the son who told police he was also a victim of his adoptive father's sexual abuse.
That police recording somehow ended up in the hands of the media, even though in the transcript we learn there were only three copies made. Two were for prosecutors and police and one given to defense attorney Karl Rominger.
All denied sharing it.
The judge agreed to a protective order and asked the defense to give him, under oath, a list of everyone they shared discovery materials with.
The evidence not related to Matt Sandusky was not expanded on in the transcript. Rominger is appealing the judge's order to share their list.
