In Dauphin County, the second Capitol Christmas tree was delivered Wednesday morning.
This 22-foot Douglas Fir tree will be kept inside the rotunda at the Capitol.
The tree lighting ceremony will be on December 4 at 5 p.m. The time was changed to make it easier for local families to attend.
“We're very excited to mark the beginning of the holiday season with the delivery of our trees that will be in the rotunda and out on the capital steps,” explained Department of General Services spokesperson Troy Thompson.
The tree inside the rotunda will be decorated with hundreds of LED lights and hand crafted ornaments, all donated by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging.
