On August 14, the Northern York County Regional Police investigated the theft of construction materials from a home being built in the 700 block of Kentwell Drive in Conewago Township.
Witnesses reported seeing a black Ford pickup truck at the construction site on Tuesday around 5 p.m. They advised that a balding white male wearing a blue shirt and blue pants had pulled up to the construction area and had loaded a large amount of lumber into the bed. The truck then drove off.
The builder of the home, Bottom Line Construction, reported that several hundred dollars worth of lumber were taken.
The investigation into this theft continues.
On Monday the Northern York County Regional Police Department investigated two thefts from vehicles in the 1500 block of Toronita Street in Manchester Township.
Both victims reported that they had parked their cars in the parking area of a restaurant. Both had locked their doors and had left purses in plain view.
Between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., unknown subjects had broken windows out of the vehicles and took the purses.
The purses contained credit and identification cards.
The investigation into these separate thefts continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northern York County Regional Police Department at 717-292-3647 or use the crime tip reporting portion of their website
