On November 26, 2012 Tyson Foods reported the theft of $25,771.07 from their company by an employee.
After conducting an internal audit, Tyson officials reported to the New Holland Police Department that employee Debra Rottmund was employed at Tyson Foods as a payroll clerk. Between December 18, 2008 and November 16, 2012 Rottmund issued checks to herself for vacation hours she was not entitled to. Rottmund then deposited the checks in to her personal bank accounts. The total of the checks is $25,771.07.
Rottmund confessed to the crime and turned herself in. She is now free on on $25,000 unsecured bail.
