The PA Lottery says check and double check your tickets, because you could be a winner.
As of January 1st, $15,000,000 in unclaimed money has expired, meaning no one claimed it in the past year. And even though that money isn't claimed, once it's expired, it can't be claimed.
Most of that money is and small prize money that went unclaimed, but the small prizes is what adds up.
Delores Roberts of Harrisburg, says she makes sure she checks the lottery tickets she buys. "I do with the numbers. I don't know, I just might win. Now that I may win $1 here or $2 or $5 on cash 5."
But Jermaine Simmons on the other hand, says he usually doesn't even look at his numbers on his tickets. "I thought about it sometimes I just don't know, if up I don't live in the city where they don't call Harrisburg I just throw it out."
