HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Gov. Tom Corbett is stressing bipartisanship as he gears up for his next two years in office and a 2014 re-election campaign.

Still, the Republican former attorney general acknowledges he should do a better job of practicing it.

Since Corbett became governor last year, many of the major legislative accomplishments have attracted just a handful of votes from Democrats. The Legislature has been controlled by heavy Republican majorities for the last two years.

Corbett doesn't disagree that his legislative accomplishments largely excluded Democrats, and says he needs to do a better job reaching out to them.

Democrats say they're open to working with Corbett. But House Minority Leader Frank Dermody says Democrats won't cooperate with a Corbett agenda if it's like his first two years in office.
