On Sunday, December 2, PennDOT closed Black Lane bridge between the villages of Irishtown and Edgegrove in Adams County.
The bridge carries Black Lane over the South Branch of the Conewago Creek. The road and bridge were closed because of a sinkhole and threatened damage to the bridge due to its proximity.
Black Lane will likely remain closed until the end of the week as the repairs are made.
PennDOT advises travelers that Black Lane is closed to through traffic between Oxford Avenue in Conewago Township and Mount Misery Road in Oxford Township until repairs are finished.
