A Pizza Hut delivery driver parked in the 500 Block of St Joseph Street around 10 Sunday night. He was trying to deliver three cheese and pepperoni pizzas and an order of cinnamon sticks which is worth about $42.
But instead of handing the food over and getting his cash, the 28-year-old was held at gunpoint and told to hand over the food.
Neighbors on the block can't figure out why someone would do this.
Destiny Williams says she knows people are having trouble with money right now, but doesn't know why people resort to this. "I mean I understand times are tough, but..."
The robber was described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s. He was about 5'7" and weighed about 160 pounds and was wearing a gray hoodie and black hat with a red brim.
"It makes me wonder in a city, you know like what's the city turning into? That you have to rob pizza guy now?" Williams said.
The suspect was with two other males, but police don't have a description of the men.
