Columbia Police have charged Matthew Fabral Dejesus, 18, of Columbia for multiple burglaries and home invasion robberies.
Dejesus was arrested at the Wagon Werks Apartments at 920 Plane Street in Columbia. He was found hiding in an apartment and was taken into custody after a struggle with police.
Police found multiple guns connected to the investigation in the apartment. Another resident of the apartment building told police he recently bought a firearm from Dejesus. Police also connected numerous credit cards and other documents connecting Dejesus to the crimes.
Dejesus was arraigned at Central Booking and incarcerated at Lancaster County Prison. This investigation is ongoing, and Columbia Police remind its residents to continue to use proper home security practices which include keeping all doors and windows locked.
