This summer, the Northern Dauphin County YMCA is providing a summer camp for local kids to experience an unforgettable summer.
The YMCA has joined mental health organizations to provide a fun and educational summer camp for young children.
The camp is filled with sports and games, but also educational activities, field trips, and alcohol, tobacco, and drug prevention education.
The camp has the ideal facility, next to the mountains and Susquehanna River.
"We took some of the older campers out on the river, some of them were in a canoe for the first time, not only were they in the canoe for the first time, but they were taking a 6-mile canoe trip,” explained YMCA Site Director Eric Rothermeo. “It's just one of those experiences that they're going to remember for the rest of their lives."
This week is international week where campers will play games from other countries and enjoy ethnic food.
