Friday, Attorney Karl Rominger visited Sandusky for the first time at his new home inside Greene State Prison in Southwestern PA. It houses most of the state's death row inmates. Even so, Sandusky tells his lawyer, he wants to spend more time with them.

" He's dismayed that he was convicted. His demeanor is better. His spirit is back and he is once again ready to fight," said Karl Rominger, attorney for Jerry Sandusky.

Hoping to win that fight in the appeals process, Sandusky is working from his prison cell on his own case. Rominger says his reading and writing privileges allow him to do that.

In addition, he also gets to watch some TV. Rominger says that 's better than nothing, especially when you're confined to your cell for 23- hours a day.

" He's actually not raising many concerns at this point. I think that's a clarification. He would like to be moved eventually into the general population. He'd like to have more freedom," said Rominger.

Rominger says Sandusky is classified as a level 2 prisoner, other sex offenders fall under that umbrella. But, he's being treated as a level 5 prisoner; murders fall in that category.

Being held in the max security wing, Sandusky can't have a job and can only make one-to-two calls to friends, family or his lawyers each month.

" People can quarrel about; is a sex offender worth this sort of treatment, but all he's saying is treat me like the other sex offenders," said Rominger.

Rominger says Sanduksy's family and friends have visited him at Greene Prison, where he's serving a 30-60 year sentence.
