Harrisburg's historic Broad Street Market closed Thursday at 4:00 p.m. and through the weekend for maintenance and pest control actions, according to Jack Robinson, Director of the city’s Department of Building and Housing Development.
“We have asked the market to cease operations until these issues are addressed and we are assured a maintenance plan is in place,” Robinson said. “Based on discussions with market management today, we anticipate the Market will reopen for business as usual sometime next week.” He added.
The city took this action Thursday following a series of health inspections which resulted in repeated city and state code violations.
