A man wanted for a murder in New York City was arrested in Lancaster County Monday.
Jamel Hunter has been on the run from New York City Police for the past two weeks. But that run ended Monday morning, around 11 a.m.
Local U.S. Marshalls and police assisted the NYPD in taking him into custody. Hunter was wanted for a homicide in New York City from back on November 30 where a man was shot and killed in the Bronx.
After the shooting, police say, Hunter fled to the Lancaster area and ended up in the Lincoln West Apartments. Police got a tip after his red Chevy Trail Blazer was spotted.
Police arrested him, without incident, as he tried to get into the vehicle.
Hunter will soon be extradited back to NYC where he will face the homicide charges.
