Harrisburg Police are investigating two incidents over the weekend. Two people were taken to the hospital, on separate days, with gun shot wounds.
On Friday, December 7, Officers were called to the Emergency Room of Harrisburg Hospital for a report of a man with a gunshot wound to his arm. An officer spoke with the man, who refused to give police any information. The officer also spoke with a woman in the waiting room who said she was with the man. She told police she didn't know what happened to him.
Then on Sunday, December 9, officers were called to the Emergency Room at Harrisburg Hospital again, for a report of a woman with a gunshot wound. An officer spoke to the woman, but she did not provide many details. She told police she was in the backseat of a car, that her 18-year-old cousin was driving. She told police she didn't know the name of the cousin. She also told an officer that she heard a gun shot and realized that her right breast was grazed by a bullet.
For some reason, the woman's cousin stopped at the Hess Station at Cameron and Market Streets, had some sort of discussion and the woman with the gunshot wound walked herself to the hospital. She told police someone she knew drove by and gave her a ride the rest of the way. She didn't provide police with the name of that person either. Her wound was minor, she was treated and released.
The investigations continue and anyone having any information on either incident is asked to contact Sgt. Thomas Carter at 717-255-6586 or email tccarter@cityofhbg.com. Anyone may also call the Dauphin County Police dispatch at 717-558-6900 and ask for a City detective.
