Monday night, the State Capitol was full of celebration, again. This time to celebrate Chanukah.
City Mayor Linda Thompson joined Governor Tom Corbett, Rabbi Shmuel Pewzner, Dauphin County Commissioner George Hartwick and other state and local dignitaries at the State Capitol to commemorate Chanukah by lighting the Capitol’s Menorah.
Chanukah has become globally recognized as the traditional Jewish winter holiday that connects directly with Christmas and other year-end celebrations of peace and good will to all peoples.
Monday's event included traditional food, music and fun activities for kids.
