Each year, fifth-grade students from across the state are encouraged to create an original work of art illustrating a drug-free message of their choice. A winner is chosen for each month of the 2013 calendar year and the Grand Prize winner’s artwork is displayed on the calendar's cover.
This year, the winners were chosen from more than 1,500 entries from schools throughout Pennsylvania. The winners were chosen based on the artists' creativity and ability to illustrate and convey a drug-free message.
During a ceremony, each of the winners was presented with certificates of achievement and a monetary prize.
