Governor Tom Corbett filled in for Pennsylvania's First Lady, to donate gifts for local families in need Wednesday.
Over two hundred families will receive gifts this Holiday season thanks to the 23rd Annual Holiday Wish Program.
Gift recipients are selected with the help of County Assistance offices.
The Governor took time to remind everyone that the holiday season is about helping others. "The idea of this season is to spread hope, happiness, and joy. And what you're doing here is exactly that."
The Holiday Wish Program was started back in 1989 by the Department of Public Welfare. The program has spread to include hundreds of state employees across Pennsylvania.
