Just about everyone has entered a contest. But how many of us have won?
That is what happened to Grace Lankford, a young woman from Hummelstown.
Grace Lankford says taking pictures has always been a love of hers. "I think it is an extension of my mind in being able to portray an image. I like to go out as much as I can."
Canon's "Project Imagination" was the first photo contest she had ever entered. Her photo, 'Rest Easy' won her $500 worth of Canon products but that is just the start.
Her photo was also one of ten selected as inspiration for a short film directed by Jamie Foxx.
Foxx, who will be mentored by legendary director Ron Howard, got inspiration from Grace's picture and nine others to create his short film.
The theme for Grace's picture was 'backstory'.
And of course she also gets to see the final product. "I got two tickets as well for being a winner to go to the film festival next year."
Her winning picture was actually part of a college class project, a day of taking pictures at the PA Farm Show. "I went over towards the animals and I saw him hatching from his egg and as soon as he was done hatching he was exhausted so I just decided to snap one of him."
