Please be assured that the safety and welfare of our students, staff, and visitors is our number one priority. The district has in place protocols for emergency operations. These protocols provide an organized, coordinated, and common-sense approach to dealing with emergencies in which we may encounter throughout the district. We place a high priority on consistency; staff members across the district are familiar with these procedures.
Students and staff participate in a variety of emergency drills throughout the school year, which provide participants with an understanding of responses to various crisis situations. Additionally, administrators are trained in crisis management and response in a variety of scenarios. Administrators also review with staff regularly emergency operations protocols.
Cumberland Valley is an active partner with our local law enforcement agencies and emergency management personnel. Ongoing conversations occur between both parties in regards to procedures in the event of emergencies.
We have many everyday safety and security protocol measures in place."
