On Tuesday, December 4, The West Shore Regional Police Department arrested a man after he attacked a woman with a butcher knife.
Juan Herminio Castillo, was charged with simple assault and criminal mischief.
Police got a report from dispatchers saying a woman called screaming for help. When police arrived to the woman's home in the 500 block of Market Street, Lemoyne, they witnessed the woman running away from Castillo telling him to keep away from her.
She told police, Castillo broke into her home and began assaulting her. She said he sat on her head, attempted to strangle her and attacked her with a butcher knife.
Castillo was taken to Central Processing and booked. He was arraigned and is being held at the Cumberland County Prison with $100,000 bail.
