Springettsbury Township Police Chief Thomas Hyers says that the scene was cleared just before 11 p.m.
The suspicious package was a school bag that a student left behind outside Starbucks.
State Police had been called in at one point to help determine the package, but realized it was not a threat.

Springettsbury Township Police are investigating a suspicious package Friday evening.
Authorities were alerted to the suspicious package, which is located outside the Starbucks on 2521 East Market Street in York.
At this time, police are not releasing any other information.
