Harrisburg Police investigating weekend robbery and burglary

Harrisburg Police are investigating a robbery that happened over the weekend.

On December 16 around 12:50 a.m.  patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 1900 Block of Market Street.

The victim was at the home of a friend where he went for help after the robbery. The victim told police that he got a call from an aquaintance who invited him to meet him near South 19th and Chestnut Streets. 

He left his place and met the man around 12:15 at an apartment. The man was waiting for him on the porch of the home. Once he went inside the apartment the man pointed a gun at him and demanded his valuables. 

The robber was joined by two other suspects.  The victim was ordered to the floor and to not move.

The victim's car was found the next night in the 1700 Block of Market Street, it was towed for safety.

Later, the man who rents the room in the residence where the robbery took place called police and reported a burglary. He said that someone forced his door open and stole various items. The man found a few credit cards on the floor which had the name of the robbery victim on them.
