PennDOT crews closed the sidewalk on the bridge that carries Marietta Avenue over the Amtrak railroad on Monday.

The closure is only to the sidewalk, the rest of the bridge remains open and is safe for vehicular traffic under the current posted restrictions.
Construction on the sidewalk and the bridge will begin in early Spring 2013 and is anticipated to take a year to complete.
