In the wake of last Friday’s horrific school shooting, four school districts in our area are on alert after phone calls and rumors of some type of violent gun activity supposedly scheduled for Thursday.
State Police have arrested a 16-year-old male student from Solanco High School for allegedly threatening to bring a gun to school.
Also Cumberland Valley, Central Dauphin and West Perry are also on alert for rumors of similar violent acts happening there.
Each of these reports have school administrators increasing security and informing parents to be on alert.
It's one thing to see and hear of a horrific shooting that happens miles away. It's another when threats are made to your child's school.
The threats in our area all were made to high schools. Members in the community have a variety of reactions, some more scared after Friday's incident, with others just concerned
