Thursday we told you about the man who, dressed in his Navy uniform, stood outside a Lancaster County school.
The school district released a statement saying they didn’t ask for Brian Knepp to stand watch and that his presence could cause some concerns.
Knepp is not armed. He does have nephews in the school district
After the Sandy Hook shooting, he was in shock. “I couldn’t really believe someone do that. I sat here and watch these kids so happy and I couldn’t see anybody doing like this”
Thursday and Friday he stood in front of the East High Elementary School. “And if something would happen at the school, I’d be the first person they’d go after," explained Knepp. "If they hear that they’d be able to get out of the school quicker.”
Elizabethtown Schools released a statement saying:
“While certain ideas may seem like excellent prevention measures to some, these same ideas may cause concern to others. It is for that reason that we follow the best local law enforcement and agencies dealing with school safety and emergency management.“
While the district released the statement Thursday, Brian was back at the school Friday, this time across the street.
