UGI Utilities, Inc., held a number of community fundraising and gift collection activities across its service areas to assist those in need during this holiday season.

• UGI Utilities – Gas Division employees donated more than 240 gifts for children in the Greater
Berks, Lehigh Valley, Lancaster and Harrisburg areas through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree
program; donated more than $1,600 to the Salvation Army to distribute to families in need this
season; donated 50 coats to children in need through the Coats for Kids program; and UGI
volunteers manned Salvation Army red kettles.

• UGI Penn Natural Gas, UGI Electric Division and UGI Central Penn Gas employees visited 68
children at three Head Start centers in the PNG and Electric Division service areas, bringing gifts
and a visit from Santa.

• In addition to volunteer efforts, funds were raised across the UGI service area to help community
based organizations through book fairs, cookie sales, food drives and a “virtual turkey drive” on
UGI’s Facebook page, which raised a total of $6,560 for food banks throughout the UGI Utilities
service territory.

• In mid-December, UGI employees commenced their annual contributions to the UGI Operation
Share Fuel Fund for the 2013 season. Operation Share provides funds to low and fixed-income
consumers experiencing difficulty paying their utility bill. Last year, employees donated nearly
$10,000 to the fund.

UGI Utilities’ headquarters is located in Reading, Pennsylvania. The utility serves more than 648,000
natural gas and electric customers in eastern and central Pennsylvania.
