Deputy Sheriff, Bruce Klinger, announced his plans to seek the Republican nomination for the office of Lebanon County Sheriff.
Sheriff Mike DeLeo plans to retire at the end of the year after holding the position for six terms.
Klingler said that he has been honored to work in the Sheriff’s Office under the leadership of DeLeo.
Sheriff Mike DeLeo has endorsed Klingler for the Office of Sheriff and is serving as the Chairman of the Friends of Bruce Klingler for Sheriff Committee.
Bruce Klingler was born and raised in Lebanon County and has devoted his life to serving and protecting its residents. Following his graduation from Northern Lebanon High School, Bruce enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a Sergeant in Vietnam. When he returned home from fighting for his country, Bruce attended the Harrisburg Police Department Academy and dedicated more than thirty years of service to the Lebanon Police Department as an Acting Chief of Police, Captain, Lieutenant of Patrol, and Patrolman.
For most of his tenure as a police officer, Bruce served as a member of the PA Army National Guard and was active in the Gulf War.
