HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania Attorney General-elect Kathleen Kane is announcing the appointments of her top deputies, including an old friend who oversaw her transition team and several holdovers from the staff of departing Republican Attorney General Linda Kelly.

Kane, a Democrat who is to be sworn in to a four-year term Tuesday, said Thursday that Philadelphia lawyer Adrian R. King Jr. will serve a first deputy attorney general.

King, who has known Kane since law school, served as director of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency in the Rendell administration and oversaw Kane's transition team.

Kane named Linda Dale Hoffa, formerly in Gov. Tom Corbett's Office of General Counsel, as senior executive deputy attorney general.

Kane appointed Bruce Beemer, Kelly's chief of staff, to serve as her senior counsel.
